Insurance
I do not participate with insurance panels at this time. I am considered an out of network provider.
Insurance companies dictate clinical decisions and REQUIRE a mental health diagnosis for reimbursement. My focus is on the unique needs of my clients without the sanction of insurance companies. Bypassing insurance allows flexibility for my clients. For example insurance will only cover in office sessions, I am now able to provide online therapy for those who travel, have busy lives, or like the convenience of having a session from anywhere they choose. I am also able to meet with clients for 80 minutes for an initial session and 55 minutes for follow up appointments, yet insurance has constraints on time.
What are my other options?
If the cost of counseling seems to be out of reach, consider the following:
Use pre-tax dollars. Did you know that you can use your Health Savings (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to pay for therapy using pre-tax dollars?
Check if you or your spouses/partners employer has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP is an employee benefit that allows the employee and family member to attend short term counseling and the employer pays the bill. If you choose to continue counseling after the approved sessions, only then will you be responsible for payment.
I can also provide a “Superbill” which you can submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement.
Counseling is an investment in you. If you compare the short-term financial cost of therapy to the possible long-term emotional costs of not seeking help. The benefits far outweigh the risks.
Payment
I accept cash, check, debit cards, Health Savings and Flex Spending cards (HSA/FSA) and all major credit cards as form of payment. I also accept direct payment through my HIPPA compliant client platform.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
Any Other Questions
